Original Art Work Wanted

The 4-H office is looking for original current art work (must not be older than one year) to be put on display at the Salmon River Fine Arts Center in Pulaski for the month of May.

  Theme:

 

  People and Places
  • This will include photography: black and white and colored photos. Sorry this is for original work only, no computer graphics will be allowed.
  • Drawings to include charcoal, pen and ink, pastel, pencil, colored pencil, and paintings in oil or watercolor.
  • Sculptures (sorry no Lego's) and quilted wall hangings, not to be larger in width than 3 x 4 feet.
  • All photos, paintings(except oil), and drawings must be matted in white or black only, and placed in a picture frame. No form board matting will be allowed, and all artwork must be able to be hung and displayed in the art gallery.
  • This must be original work. No copies of other artist work or photo's will be allowed. No kits or paint by numbers will be allowed to be put on display.
  • this is open to all 4-H Oswego County members including Cloverbuds. There is a limit of just three items per member but can be in any combination.
  • Items will be judged witha first, second and third place awarded in each category, and a participation ribbon given to each exhibitor.
  • Items are to be dropped off at the 4-H office from April 13th through the 17th during regular office hours (8:30 am-4:00 pm), or after hours by appointment.
  • Items are to be picked up the first week in June at the 4-H Office. Due to space limitations, every item may not be displayed. A committee of 4-H volunteers and the Salmon River Fine Arts Center personell will select items.
  • On the back of your itme please attach your name, address and your age to each piece.
The Art Center is open to the public Wednesday - Friday 12pm to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 2pm. If you have any questions, please contact the 4-H office at 963-7286 and ask for Jan Smith or Kathy Porter for further information.
